200SX with turbo M5 engine
This is an excellent example of the Swede’s going bonkers, or a grand plan born out of boredom and beer!
Transplanting a BMW E34 M5 engine into a Nissan S13 200SX is not your everyday conversion. The Nissan isn’t shy in stock form and comes with a healthly 2.0-litre turbo’d lump that pushes out a little over 200 ponies. However, a pair of Nordic car heroes decided that it just wasn’t enough to keep them entertained on the icy roads.
While some Swedes like to whip each other with branches before jumping out of the sauna into the snow, I think I would sooner take a ride in this awesome build to get my blood pumping.
The old Nissan engine was cast aside and the mighty 3.6-litre heart from a M5 surgically put in its place. Now the sporty S13 was packing a far healthier 315bhp, but it still failed to quench the power-thirsty duo. They then bolted on a Garret GT45 turbo to give it some extra kick to the back wheels.
Check out the test run video and build pictures – have you got anything that can match this Swedish hybrid?
