BMW E30 Powerhouse
Since I was about 10, and my dad had an immaculate grey 5-series, I’ve always loved BMW’s. Throughout the years I think the design evolutions have pushed boundaries, it’s been a car brand that hasn’t sat still through time unlike some others…
But, this is no memory-lane sop-fest about me and my BMW fetish. This is about an old school Beemer packing the S50B32 motor. What that means people, is that you’ve got a car older than Rick Astley’s No1 hit and more powerful than a bottle of Polski special brew.
Vlad from the S14 website has seen the light. He has an awesome E30 M3 Evo that he's manned-up even more with the addition of the new engine.
Standard, is not a word we like around these parts, so its lucky that Vlad's new lump has had a little headwork, cams and a UUC light-weight flywheel to help beef up the power.
And let’s not forget that imposing carbon airbox under the hood. Packing 380bhp is nothing short of insane in this modified 6-speed E30. The whole car is set off to a tee with the full Warsteiner decal set and 17-inch BBS RS alloys. Meanwhile, the ride height has been tweaked with GC Coilovers and adjustable Konis to make sure this E30 handles as well as it barks.
So I guess it’s true, old cars don’t die they just get faster…
