Crashmeister GT-R

No sooner has an over zealous driver stacked a Nissan GT-R on the highway – no doubt lacking the minerals to handle the ‘beast from the east’ - forums light up quicker than ET’s finger.

The tuning-loving masses hold the GT-R on a motoring pedestal, but like a girlfriend that’s been ‘ridin’ dirty’ we love to see it get mangled from time to time. Think of it as rubber necking for the office.

You may argue otherwise, but how many of you would love to open a story with the headline: ‘Another GT-R crash’? Yeah, that’s right, I can see you nodding your head in agreement!

I’m the same. Granted, I look and dream of owning something like the tuned Zele model in its full ASBO-orange and carbon clothing glory – but I wouldn’t be able to resist checking out the latest wreckage and reading the comments left by keyboard warriors flaming the driver over his/her handling skills (or lack of them).

So, for all you crash fans who love nothing more than to oogle some twisted metal (you know who you are, David Cronenberg’s filfth fest did take some money at the box office), I bring you the GT-R in its fast-paced, shunting glory. Check out this coverage from the Okayama Raceway. And don’t say we don’t do anything for you.
