Driving an Audi R8 is going to grab people’s attention, fact. The car even manages to looks fast when it’s parked up. But, how fast does it look when you’ve dunked it in a river?
Not very.
The Audi sportscar, now a write off, was on a test drive by an over-zealous 33 year-old Dutch man in his local town. Police investigating the crash, reported he was pushing 80mph in a 50mph zone only to hit a bump and loose control, forcing the car to take a plunge.
This isn’t the first Audi to take a dip. Intersection magazine lowered a new TT into a swimming pool for a photoshoot in October 2007.
