Gumball 3000 coverage like it’s hot
Eight days, 3000 miles and 120 of the coolest cars on the planet – it can only mean one thing, its Gumball time.
This year the rally launches in the cool city of San Francisco on August 8th, and you know that Maximillion Cooper and Co don’t do things by halves. Its no surprise then, that the race starts in the US and winds its way over to the far east, with one stop even calling in on the Olympics.
While the cars are hotter than a Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction, the drivers entry list is pretty cool too. Some are household names, while we had to look up others on IMDB to see who the hell they were. My personal highlight is the fact Alfonso Ribeiro, aka Carlton Banks, is taking part – let’s hope he bust’s out the Carlton dance mid-rally.
So, check out the official celebrity driver line-up – there’s only one name missing and that’s ours!
From the world of music you can expect to see:
Travis Barker – Blink 182
Jermaine Dupree – producer
Peter Wentz – Fall Out Boy
The Cuban Brothers – Rap Group
Loomis Fall – Drummer from punk band Wax
Action sport stars include:
Bam Margera and his friends from Jackass Ryan Dunn, Bucky Lasek
Rob Dyrdek – Skater and star of MTV
Cory Nastazio – BMX Rider
From the silver screen and TV, faces include
David Hasselhof
Alfonso Ribeiro – Carlton Banks in Fresh Prince of Bel Air
Tyson Beckford – Presenter of American Top Model
Tara Reid - Actress/American Pie
