Taking a snap shot of your car is pretty much what I do. I point and click the camera in the general direction of the car with fingers crossed, hoping I get a good shot. If I’m feeling extra flashy I may even squat down to get a low, angled, ¾ shot.
The difference between my point, click and go skills and a professional car snapper is about a million miles.
Tim Wallace is a car snapper of the highest degree and you can tell that he has some mad skills with a lens just by taking a peek at his extensive car portfolio.
After receiving an e-mail from Tim, I heading over to his site and instantly became a fan. Every shot I look at is better than the last. In his portfolio, amongst the exotics like the Ferraris, Porsches and Astons, he makes the BMW Mini look as cool as James Dean on the big screen.
In fact, Aston Martin loved the shots so much they built an Aston art website, where you can buy prints and canvases of this Tim’s artwork.
If you are a budding photographer, then you could do a lot worse than follow the works of Tim Wallace.
