Project Fat Boy – Nissan Pulsar GTI-R
As my own project is progressing slower than an African-snail endurance race, I had to seek out other people’s projects to keep my blog going. I didn’t have to look hard or far as the main mechanic at Motorworx, Carl, has just decided to take his already mighty Nissan Pulsar GTI-R to another level.
When I say another level, maybe I should say another width… The engine is not being touched as it has only just been rebuilt and is good for 400bhp. What is changing is the shell… The standard GTi-R shell is being replaced for the rare wide-arch version. The car looked mean enough in its size zero form, but when you see the fuller figure Nissan you all know that a bit of meat is always better.
At the minute the wider tracked beast is being stripped down ready for a new splash of paint and I will be keeping close tabs on all the stages. As you can see from the pictures, the 18-inch Compomotive rims look so at home tucked under the boxed arches.
If you look under the car everything has been powder coated silver and even the bushes are brand spanking new.
Check out the pictures and keep glued to this blog as we take you from shell to street with this beast of a GTi-R.
