Trax 2008
Trax is one of the best shows of the year in the UK. It offers all the fun of regular events, but has the advantage of the infamous Silverstone raceway.
If you’re a budding racer and keen to get on the track, or you just want to ogle the finery, Trax has everything from audio cars to Audis.
A place where petrolheads and cruisers find common ground, it’s like a Mecca for motorists – except this year it rained.

Let’s face it, waking up on a Sunday morning to torrents of H2O belting down leaves all but the real hardcore tucked up in bed. However yours truly, along with several hundred other car mad fans obviously have the minerals!

Despite the rain keeping the crowds away, Trax was going off, both on the stands and the track. Obviously blue skies would have helped, but the club stands yet again made for good viewing and the EDC drivers wowed the soggy spectators.
The trade area was the place to be to try and keep dry. I know I’ve ranted about this before, but the traders deserve a ripping. Most are selling crap! Cheap neons and cheap goods that I wouldn’t bolt on my car if you gave them to me. Who thinks this sort of rubbish is what we want? Can’t the e-bay mafia keep away so we can get some real firms in?
Trax did have Demon Tweeks in the trade area but they carried little or no stock – so no real show bargains to walk away with.
This year Motoraddicts was represented by a good few! We were lucky enough to be invited onto the Britishmods stand and a big thanks to those guys for letting us gatecrash!
RoadRunner and Aaron found no problem in signing up to give both their Skylines the beans around the circuit. While the rest of us just allowed our cars to collect the rain.
My car of the show had to be this 800bhp Subaru built by Rodger Clark – just check out the carbon-fibre wheels.

Soggy and cold my enthusiasm for the show ebbed away throughout the day – it was really good to meet Daniel from Dogboxmedia, check his blogs here.
So, check out the video from your warm and dry home, and let’s hope for sunshine next year. We hope you enjoy!
