Hyundai tuned to death
posted by NewCarAddict, 18-Nov-08
Chrome hubcaps, a really offensive piece of auto-merchandise! In my opinion these should be illegal. They don’t make your car cool, they just make you look like a dodgy taxi.   Don’t get me wrong, I’m not one to flame anyone for having a good effort at modifying a car. But, can you honestly tell me you’ve finished your whip when it’s sat on those rims?   The bright orange interior is also a bit of an assault on the retinas. The Orange and...

I’ve got into drag
posted by AddictEDITOR, 17-Nov-08
You’ve not had many updates on the Mr2 project recently, but that’s not because I’ve not wanted to work on the car, it’s just that parts cost money and my pockets have been shallower than a Sahara puddle lately.   That aside, I’ve taken the plunge for 2009 and entered the Pro Street Drag Series at the Shakespeare Raceway in the UK. Last year, site user CliffJ took his Nissan R33 Skyline to the full series final and won.     Having...

Reizen 2
posted by ProductAddict, 17-Nov-08
With the festive season approaching faster than a turbocharged reindeer, you may be looking for some inspirational gifts for the love of you life, your car.   If a set of 18-inch wheels fits your budget you could do a lot worse than these slick looking, six-spoke alloys that are hotter than a pole-dancing Miss Claus.   The Reizen 2 is available in gloss black, gunmetal silver and white. The blank centres allow them to be drilled and machined to align with almost any bolt...

What’s better than a Gallardo?
posted by NewCarAddict, 13-Nov-08
Supercars are awesome, that’s pretty much a given. But, what do you call a supercar that has been tuned to make it even more, super? A SuperSuperCar?   While I leave you to rename the super, supercar, you may want to check out this ride to see exactly what I’m harping on about.   Listed on e-bay of all places, you can now make a bid on Underground Racing's fapping mental, twin turbo Lamborghini Gallardo that packs 1000bhp. I kid you not; this car will decimate...

BMW E30 Powerhouse
posted by NewCarAddict, 13-Nov-08
Since I was about 10, and my dad had an immaculate grey 5-series, I’ve always loved BMW’s. Throughout the years I think the design evolutions have pushed boundaries, it’s been a car brand that hasn’t sat still through time unlike some others…   But, this is no memory-lane sop-fest about me and my BMW fetish. This is about an old school Beemer packing the S50B32 motor. What that means people, is that you’ve got a car older than Rick...

MX5 Cosworth bolt-on charger
posted by ProductAddict, 12-Nov-08
The 2006-08 MX5 gets a fair bit of stick for being a full-blown hairdresser’s motor, all show and no-go, and not being as good as it’s Mk1 brother. But now, thanks to the engine gods we call Cosworth, the new Mazda MX5 could pack a punch that would help it claw back its street-cred thanks to a bolt-on supercharger kit.   The ‘charger kit - a 4th generation Eaton MP62 - comes with everything you need for complete installation, including a re-flash device to take...

Flammin’ Roller
posted by NewCarAddict, 12-Nov-08
Woah, I wasn’t expecting to ever see this kind of paintjob on a Rolls Royce.   As if Rollers don't stand out enough, hot rod flames cover this 1983 Silver Spirit roadster from the bonnet back, ensuring you'll stand out like a haystack at a needle convention as you cruise around town with the hood down.   To be honest, I’d sooner see real flames lick up the doors of this hideous creation. Listed on e-bay, the owner proudly exclaims that the custom candy metal...

Le Mans edition R35 GTR
posted by NewCarAddict, 11-Nov-08
Could Nissan be preparing to bring us a Le Mans edition R35 GTR? According to the motor report it could be on like Donkey Kong.   If history is anything to go by then the standard R35 would be nothing in comparison to an LM version.   It was back in the 90’s, in the time of day-glow baggy t-shirts that Nissan gave us the Le Mans edition in the shape of the R33LM. A limited edition ride, available in any colour as long as it was blue. A race hungry weapon of a car...

With so many thieving toe-rags on the loose looking to pinch your expensive imported rims, you need the best in security and RAYS thinks it has the answer.   If you roll with the import crowd, then you’ll need no introduction to RAYS and its products.
