Citroen’s GTposted by NewCarAddict, 20-Oct-08
Are we heading for a world where pixelated fiction is going to merge with real life? If it’s GTA then we could be in trouble, but for car fans this could be a fun twist. Citroen and the makers of Gran Turismo have started the trend with the all-new GT. You may have seen the car on blog sites around the world as the French car maker unveiled the GT, bit by bit in a slick marketing campaign. The car is extreme to say the least and won’t be a frontrunner for...
New Megane Trophy
posted by NewCarAddict, 20-Oct-08
Somebody give me a pinch – a racing Renault that looks sweeter than the Olsen twins – can it be? Yep, the people at Renault have finally shown their mettle and created a motor that I think is radically cool. It’s not often (closer to never), that I’ve put cool and Renault in the same sentence. The only car from the range to previously ignite any interest from me in the was the R5 GT Turbo. However, enough of the past and more of...
Lada Revolution
posted by NewCarAddict, 17-Oct-08
When I was at school I remember one kid in my class getting a lot of flack for his parents owning a Lada. Even at that young age, your car or at least the one your parents owned, gave you a negative or positive impact on your peers. Ladas were the butt of school yard jokes and if you got dropped off in one then a kicking was obligatory. To this day I cringe at the thought of ever having to pay hard earned beer vouchers for the popular Russian motor. In my eyes, a Lada...
BMW Beauty
posted by NewCarAddict, 16-Oct-08
Whatever you think about cars, you can’t tell me that this project build BMW is not a beautiful thing. It may not have been hand crafted by the most expensive car builders in the world, or bolted together in the most delectable surroundings while being washed with the dew taken from exotic mountain lilies. But, it seems to strike a cord with every person that’s strolled past my computer and taken a sneak peek at my screen - car fan or not. A V8...
Fuel girls in your home
posted by LifestyleAddict, 16-Oct-08
As red-blooded, petrol supping, adrenalin junkies we love girls to match our high-octane standards. However it’s not often you find one, let alone a whole group that do. The Fuel Girls are the exception to the rule, and now you can get all of them alone with you! The most hardcore girl group ever will be bringing you their Gumball, drifting, motorcross and fire-breathing adventures on their own TV show hosted on Playboy TV. I can tell you now that I’d...
Loeb – a driving machine?
posted by MotorsportAddict, 15-Oct-08
Is there any stopping the rally driving Frenchman, Sebastien Loeb? It seems not. Even with the best efforts of our office favourite, Mikko Hirvonen, chasing him down, Loeb is firmly on track to take a record breaking fifth World Championship. Loeb and co-driver Daniel Elena took another dominant win on the Rallye de France, held on the island of Corsica, last weekend taking his victory tally to 10 for this year. The win means that Loeb can almost sit back in the...
Yellow Ferrari, a shade too far
posted by NewCarAddict, 14-Oct-08
I hate the typical, poser-owners of Ferraris. You know the ones that pull up outside the local coffee house, shades on, totally reckoning themselves. The type of person you’d quite like to thump in the back of the head. Personally, I’ve always preferred non-red Ferraris. Even in Forza 2, I won’t be seen racing one in red. For me, it’s got to be black - understated and stealthy. Don’t get me wrong, I love the Italian marque. After all, I...
205 rally turbo
posted by MotorsportAddict, 13-Oct-08
I used to roll about in a Peugeot 205 GTI before I turned to the JDM side. The car was raw, the drive was exciting, edgy and dangerous - the handling was just something else. Passers-by would often see the rear wheel lift off the black-top as a roundabout was taken at speed in a driving style reserved only for those with Kahona’s bigger than coconuts. The 205 GTI is a classic hot hatch and despite mine breaking down more often than a drug dependant Hollywood...
Road Test: Subaru STI
posted by NewCarAddict, 10-Oct-08
I’ve gone over what I was going to write about this car a million times in my head this past week. Each time I parked outside Motoraddicts HQ I’ve had different feelings towards the Subaru Impreza...
DIY 350Z splitter

Just because someone says they run a bodyshop on a forum, does not mean that they are any good… Choosing the right place to kit up your car is almost as important as choosing the right tattoo parlour. Even though it’s not permanent, it’s a lot of money to lose in one hit. Take for example this dude on 350Z.com. He took a gamble and left his pride and joy Nissan and brand new bodykit with a guy who already had a mixed reputation on the...
