Next Year I am going to be stepping up in Drag Racing. I am gonna move from the Factory Street class to Street Modifeid 4 cylinder class. This is a big move for me as I will be moving up from my little Opel Corsa 1600 that does an ET of 17.700 at 129km/h to; a Vauxhall Kadett 2L 8v which will do about an ET of 13.000 at bout 180/200km/h.  My dad together with Nascar SA, Roodepoort Panelbeaters and Castrol Edge are gonna make this drag car into something special. Sport Compact Sport Compact Series Cut-off times

Why did they change the cut-off times for the series AGAIN? Now there's no point in attending if you drive a standard road car, you won't get anywhere. The cut-off time for 4AF is 15.500, my corsa only runs 17.760. At the first round the cut-off time was 18.000. Why do they keep on changing the cut-off times? It's starting to get a bit unfar for those drivers who don't own a drag car and who would like to enter.   I'd rather wait for my other car to b finished and enter again...

Team captain, tuner and pilot Clive Naidu had a terrible day on Sunday. On their first run he managed to bend the clutch. I noted that the car was rolling on the stage and wouldn't stand completely still. The pit crew managed to install a new clutch and got the Golf back on the stage. On his last and final run, Clive was lined up to go against Boeta Kotze in his very potent naturally aspirated 11-second Opel Corsa. More women should come have a go at Drag Racing. On sunday at the first round of the Sports Compact Drag Racing Series there were only approximately six lady drivers, one being me. Come on ladies!!!
