Time Attack Club Challenge
Well arrived a day early for some track time at Donny. Just got my car sorted as i was rear ended (easy tiger) the day before. John at RASP banged out the damage as best he could so i could drive the car again.
In clear track time i was getting consistent 1.28's with one corner being inconsistent with, but no bad for my 5th track day.
Up early Saturday and on track again but couldn/t get clear runs so i couldn't manage better than a 1.30, and was annoyed as i'd set my goal as knocking off 3 seconds off my 1.28 time.
Sunday, i managed one clear lap in testing and a 1.26 which i was pleased with.
Then the shootout and once chance to get it right, out of the pit lane and off we go round redgate, overdriving the car to get some heat into the tyres, and right the way round, and weaving down the back straight, then set myself up for the chicane, nailed it though and down the pit straight (was 8th fastest in the second sector) and off we went, i pushed as hard as I dare and the tyres let me, and managed a 1.25 which i was pleased with. 16th overall.
Not bad for a car with less than 300bhp, considering the competiton.
