New cars bad - then good...

Just reading NewCarAddict's post on the new TT got me to thinking.

I really like the way that new cars always seem to grow on me. When I first saw the TT in mags and stuff months ago I wasn't too keen.

I'd always been a big fan of the original (although that was tested by all the London ponces who bought them) and when I saw the new one I thought the boys from Ingolstadt had gone too tame on the sucessor. Then I saw one in the flesh...

I was much more impressed than I expected to be and now every time I see one, I like it more and more. It'll probably be as big a success as the original, particularly if Audi have addressed the handling issues, which is the word from those who have driven it.

New cars do tend to be growers though. It's probably the old g*t in me who doesn't like change. When an updated model comes out, I'm never that keen, but then I always seem to end up liking the newer one more. It was the same with the latest Audi A3, Golf MkV, Focus, MX-5 etc, etc.

All in the name of progress I guess...
