Engine oil additives
I have several cars, a few are classics like my 63' vette. Recently a colleague asked me if I use any special additives in my classic cars. Truthfully I haven't used any. I don't really believe in them. Then again I haven't really checked them out. For example, Slick50, Prolong, Duralube have been around for years. And there's a slew of other products like; Tufoil, QT, MPT, Power Rebuild, Xen Tx, Repair It, KOOL IT, etc. Are any of these products worthwhile? Does anybody have any experience with any of them? I like what some of them claim about stopping engine wear and improving compression. Is it just marketing or is there any truth to them? Any advice would be greatly apreciated.
