VW Scirocco GT24
Having the new Scirocco parked outside Motoraddicts HQ had me drooling by the time I got to my desk this morning.
You’ll get a full update on the road-going version over the next few days. But, until then have you seen the GT24? The racing version of the Scirocco.
A carbon clad racing monster that is longer and wider than its road-ready counterpart. A keen eye will spot that the racer is also sat 75mm lower and on a hefty set of 18-inch rims.
The engine is the same as its road-going brother, a 2.0-litre TSI lump. But the racing motor has been tinkered with to boost power to 325bhp, perfect for eating up the world’s race circuits and also a good indication of what tuners can aim for with their own Scirocco’s.
You wouldn’t want one of these bearing down on you in a dark lane.
