Pint-sized Mustang GT
The beauty of the aftermarket industry is that it sees no boundaries, it doesn’t conform to any rules - you can take an idea and turn it into a reality.
So if you dream of owning the infamous 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 ‘Eleanor’ from the film Gone in 60 Seconds, but only have a Smart car on the drive, then dream no more.

You can now transform your Smart into one of the coolest movie cars of the 1990s thanks to Swedish firm Thalon Design. The company has built several iconic movie car replicas such as the Batmobile, K.I.T.T from Knight Rider and the full-size ‘Eleanor’.
After completing the Mustang Shelby they thought it would be a good idea to adapt the kit to a Smart and sell it to generate some funds – with over three million of the little shopping cars in Europe it could be a ‘Smart’ move.

Surprisingly, we reckon the Smart ’stang is actually quite cool – while it’s less than half the size of the original it does demand attention due to its new found muscle car adaptation.
Thalon have left the engine stock on the company demo – but add in a Hyabusa bike engine and you would not only have a Shelby looking Smart, but you would beat the real deal hands down from the lights.
