JDM Allstars Lydden Hill 2008
posted by EventAddict, 30-Sep-08
You’ve read my report, you’ve seen the pictures, now prepare to buckle up and sit tight as we unleash our tyre-smoking video from JDM Allstars at Lydden Hill in Kent. It’s a three minute motoring classic, but I don’t think it’ll be getting an Oscar nomination or bagging me an invite to Cannes just yet. However, it is burnout-tastic and filmed from the cheap seats, exactly how we like it. So crank up your speakers and prepare for some...

Very pink BMW E36
posted by NewCarAddict, 29-Sep-08
I’m not too sure what to make of this kandy pink E36. I never like to rip someone for their taste. But, this project ride has some how lost it’s way and ended up looking like it’s come straight from the tuning house of Barbie and Ken. Thanks the good people at Importsnc for the find and if you want to check out the original thread then hit this link. I feel bad as the owner defends his motor as the forum let rip. The internet is an unforgiving arena
Windsor Cruise

This month at our regular meet not everything went to plan. We had hoped to head into the smoke to create some noise in the city’s tunnels and capture our epic adventure on tape. Despite the excellent show of cars at the meet point, we only had a handful of takers who wanted to go and rattle the capital's foundations. A tough decision was called for so I took the hit squarely on the chin and decided that we’d save the route for another time when the...
Trackrod Rally 2008
posted by Dogboxmedia, 29-Sep-08
So Sunday see's me starting yet another day at 6am with the onset of Winter the days are getting shorter, rallying was one of the reasons I bought this car Suzuki's dominance in the JWRC did wonders for the brand but anyway I digress. After filling the car to the brim with camera equipment and my spectating gear its time for the off. Well ok just one more, joining the M6 I headed south then east to North Yorkshire (On reflection I should have just ventured East) So I arrive at...
V12 plane engine in 1955 Chevy
posted by NewCarAddict, 29-Sep-08
Adding a mahoosive engine to your ride is a big enough job for most car fans. So, how about dropping in a plane lump? Yep, we haven’t been hitting the lunch time bong, the Speed Channel presenters take us round this 1955 Chevy that is now powered by a supercharged Rolls Merlin V12 plane engine – the ones used in Spitfires. This was no overnight or weekend, beer and buddies conversion. This project took five long years of fabrication, then nine months to complete the hand painted...
Can't Afford a Computer Programmer?
posted by Dohenyn, 28-Sep-08
With computer programming hardware like Hypertech and Diablo being upwards of $300 some people are reluctant to reprogram. But there is an inexpensive alternative. Also available but not advertised as much are computer chips that can be installed directly into your ECU. By following a few simple instructions you can gain 50 hp and improve fuel economy up to 6 mpg for only $70. The chip is removable and your car will restore to factory settings. It also improves...
Carbon heater panel
posted by AddictEDITOR, 26-Sep-08
I thought it was about time to add some carbon goodness to my project MR2. So I decided to ignore the important things, like the gearbox whine and clutch issues, and instead spunked some cash on making the interior look a little bit faster. I sit in the car for at least a few hours each day, so how could I not buy a carbon heater panel – surely this will keep me happy before shelling out for the big repair bills! I ordered this real...
